What is Qibla?

Qibla is an Islamic prayer tracking application designed to help Muslims maintain their daily prayers. It provides accurate prayer times based on your location, a Qibla compass to find the direction to Mecca, prayer streak tracking, and social features to connect with friends and prayer groups.

How do I get started?

How are prayer times calculated?

Prayer times are calculated using your exact GPS location and established Islamic calculation methods. The app uses recognized algorithms to determine the five daily prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha) based on the sun's position at your location.

How does the Qibla compass work?

The Qibla compass uses your device's GPS coordinates and built-in compass to calculate and display the direction to the Kaaba in Mecca. For best accuracy, ensure your device's compass is calibrated and you're away from magnetic interference.

What are prayer streaks?

Prayer streaks track your consistency in completing your daily prayers. When you log all five prayers for a day, your streak increases. Building and maintaining streaks helps you stay motivated and develop a consistent prayer habit.

What are Jama'a groups?

Jama'a groups are prayer communities within the app where you can connect with friends and family. You can share your prayer progress, chat with group members, commit to group prayers, and motivate each other on your spiritual journey.

How do points and achievements work?

You earn points for completing prayers and maintaining streaks. As you accumulate points, you unlock achievements that celebrate your progress. Points also contribute to leaderboards where you can see how you rank among friends.

Is my data safe?

Yes, your data security is important to us. We use Firebase for secure authentication and data storage. Your data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. For more details, please read our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion by contacting us at support@dovedstudio.com. Once requested, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Note that this action cannot be undone.

What subscription options are available?

Qibla offers a premium subscription with advanced features:

• ▪Yearly: 60.00€/year (5.00€/month)

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. To cancel, go to your iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Qibla > Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchases?

If you've reinstalled the app or switched devices, your subscription should automatically restore when you sign in with the same Apple ID. If not, try the "Restore Purchases" option in the app settings.

Can I use Qibla offline?

Some features require an internet connection, particularly social features, account sync, and initial prayer time calculations. However, once prayer times are downloaded for your location, they can be viewed offline. The Qibla compass works offline as it uses your device's sensors.

Why does Qibla need location access?

Location access is required to calculate accurate prayer times for your specific location and to determine the correct Qibla direction. Location data is only collected when you use these features and is not continuously tracked.
