Welcome to Kupola (the "App"), a daily companion app for Orthodox Christians developed by Doved Studio ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• Find Orthodox parishes near your location
• Provide directions to churches via Google Maps

Important: Your location data is only used when you use the parish finder feature and is never stored on our servers. It remains only on your device.

We store locally on your device:

• Chosen calendar type (Julian or Revised Julian)
• Language preference (English or French)
• Saved favorite parishes
• Notification preferences
• Theme preference (light or dark)

These preferences can optionally be synced via Firebase if you choose to sign in with an account.

3.3 Account Information (Optional)

If you choose to sign in to sync your preferences, we collect:

• Email address (via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In)
• Authentication identifiers (securely hashed)

Signing in is entirely optional. The app works fully without an account.

3.4 Anonymous Analytics Data

We collect anonymous usage data via Firebase Analytics:

• App usage statistics (pages visited, features used)
• Device type and operating system version
• Anonymous crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to personally identify you.
