Privacy Policy - Doved Studio Mobile Apps

Doved Studio ("we", "our", "us") operates the following iOS mobile applications (collectively, the "Apps"):
- AxonChat — AI chat assistant using on-device language models
- CutOut — Background removal and image editing tool
- DreamFrame — AI photo style transfer and artistic filters
- FormCoach — Exercise form analysis with real-time pose detection
- MeetMind — Meeting transcription and summarisation
- ScanBrain — Document scanner with optical character recognition
- SubForge — Subtitle editor with speech recognition
- VaultMind — Document vault with OCR and smart search
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use any of the Apps listed above. By using any of our Apps, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information collected by all Apps
The following data is collected across every App in this suite:
- Purchase history— processed through Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. We receive transaction identifiers and subscription status; we do not receive your payment card details.
- Anonymous user ID— generated via Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
- User-generated feedback— if you choose to submit feedback or suggestions through the in-app feedback feature, the text you enter is stored in Firebase Firestore alongside your anonymous user ID.
2.2 App-specific data access
Each App may request access to certain device capabilities. The table below shows which permissions each App may request. Access is only granted when you explicitly approve the system permission prompt.

2.3 How each permission is used
- Camera— Used to capture photos for editing (CutOut, DreamFrame), scan documents (ScanBrain, VaultMind), or analyse exercise form in real time (FormCoach). Images are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
- Photo Library— Used to import existing photos for editing (CutOut, DreamFrame), import video/audio files for subtitle generation (SubForge), or import documents and images (VaultMind). Selected files are processed locally.
- Microphone— Used for live meeting transcription (MeetMind) and real-time speech-to-text for subtitle creation (SubForge). Audio is processed entirely on your device using WhisperKit and is never sent to external servers.
- Calendar— MeetMind reads your calendar events to associate transcriptions with scheduled meetings. Calendar data stays on your device and is not transmitted.
- On-Device AI / Machine Learning— AxonChat uses Apple FoundationModels for conversational AI. DreamFrame uses on-device models for style transfer. MeetMind, ScanBrain, and VaultMind use on-device models for text recognition and document intelligence. All AI and ML processing occurs entirely on your device. No data is sent to external AI services.
- Speech Recognition (WhisperKit)— MeetMind and SubForge use WhisperKit, an on-device speech recognition engine. Audio is transcribed locally and never leaves your device.
3. On-Device Processing
Privacy by Design
A core principle of our Apps is that your personal content stays on your device. All AI, machine learning, speech recognition, image processing, and OCR operations run locally using Apple frameworks (Core ML, Vision, FoundationModels) and WhisperKit.
- No photos, documents, audio recordings, or transcriptions are uploaded to our servers
- No data is sent to third-party AI or cloud-processing services
- Your camera feed, photo library content, and microphone audio remain entirely on your device
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:
- To process and manage your in-app purchases and subscriptions
- To receive and respond to your feedback and suggestions
- To improve and maintain the Apps
- To comply with legal obligations
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Firebase (Google)
- Firebase Anonymous Authentication: Creates a random anonymous user ID so you can submit feedback without creating an account or providing personal information.
- Cloud Firestore: Stores your feedback submissions alongside your anonymous user ID.

5.2 RevenueCat
Manages in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase transaction data from Apple StoreKit. It does not receive your name, email, or Apple ID.

6. Data Sharing and Selling
We do not sell your data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking frameworks. The only data shared with third parties is the minimal information required by Firebase (anonymous ID and feedback text) and RevenueCat (anonymous ID and purchase transactions) to provide core app functionality.
7. Tracking
Our Apps do not track you. We do not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not implement App Tracking Transparency prompts because there is nothing to track, and we do not employ any analytics SDKs that build user profiles or track behaviour across apps or websites.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:
- All data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS
- Firebase provides secure data storage with access controls
- Anonymous authentication means no passwords or credentials are stored
- On-device processing ensures your photos, documents, and audio never leave your device
9. Data Retention
- Feedback submissions: Retained until you request deletion or we no longer need them to improve the Apps.
- Purchase data: Retained by Apple and RevenueCat in accordance with their respective retention policies.
- Anonymous user IDs: Retained as long as your feedback data exists.
- On-device data: Photos, documents, transcriptions, and other content processed locally remain on your device under your control. Deleting the App removes this data.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

11. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the Apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
